Terms & Conditions

Please read through the following information before making your booking - this contains all the details you’ll need and everything we ask our customers to agree to. If you have any questions, do get in touch.

 Using the meadow

• Your booked session will either be for 25 minutes or 55 minutes (depending on whether you book a 30 or 60 minute session). This allows a 5 minute break between users and limits the chance of dogs coming into contact with each other. Please stick to your 25 or 55 minute session time.

• You will receive a confirmation email shortly after booking your session, which contains the current gate code. If it hasn’t arrived after your booking is complete, please check your spam or junk folder. Please also ensure that you enter your email address correctly so that you receive it.

• You are welcome to share your session with a friend but there must be no more than 2 cars per session. Please both park in the meadow car parking area and not in the entrance field.

• There is a booking option for up to 4 dogs and a separate booking option for 5 dogs or more. Please select the correct booking option for the number of dogs you would like to bring.

• Please use a pooper scooper to pick up your dog’s poo. They are hooked on to the fence in various places. Please then dispose of the poo in one of the black compost bins. Please then return the pooper scooper to the hook it came from. Composting the dog poo is the most environmentally sustainable way of dealing with your dog’s waste.

• If you need to use a poo bag to pick up your dog’s poo, please take it home with you. There are no general waste bins in the meadow. Please do not place any bags, compostable or not, in the compost bins.

• Please leave the meadow clean & tidy for the next customer.

• You are welcome to use the picnic benches but please do not leave any food waste or litter in the meadow, take all rubbish home with you. Disposable BBQs, camping stoves or fires are not permitted in the meadow. Please do not smoke at the meadow.

• If we need to close the meadow due to farm work or repairs, you will be notified asap via email and you will receive a full refund.

• If you need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund if your cancellation is made no less than 2 hours before your session start.

• If we have very hot weather we will change the booking sessions to early mornings and later evenings to avoid the midday heat. If this affects your booking, you will be notified via email and will receive a full refund or an option to change your booked session to a different time. Dogs cannot tolerate heat like humans can and we will always put the welfare of the dogs first.

• The water container on site will be filled with fresh water regularly. This is for dogs to drink, not humans. Please make sure you shut the tap off properly.

• We aim to keep Blackboys dog meadow as natural an environment as possible- so there will be uneven ground, mole hills, brambles and mud. There will be lumps and bumps, holes and divots, just as you would expect on a countryside walk.

• Please make sure children are supervised at all times and do not allow them to climb on the fence or trees.

• During wetter weather there will be soggy ground, puddles and boggy areas, you will need to be prepared for your dog to get wet and muddy. Wellies will be a must!

• If you witness any issues with other users leaving the field at the correct time or if you need to report a problem please contact us as soon as you can.

• If you arrive late for your session, your booking cannot be extended.

• Blackboys dog meadow have absolute discretion to permit or prohibit all types of activity on the land. 

• CCTV may be in use.

  Payments, Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Payment for all sessions need to be made online, prior to arrival.

• Customers can re-schedule or cancel their appointment via the online booking system up to 2 hours before a booked session.

• Customers who do not turn up for their appointment or leave the field early will still be liable for the whole of the hire charge.

• Blackboys dog meadow reserve the right to withdraw permission to use the meadow.

  Dog’s Health & Handling

• You must not use the facility if your dog is showing any signs of ill-health such as vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing or any other potentially contagious ailments.

• Females in heat are welcome to use the meadow.

• Your dog must be up to date with vaccinations or titre testing.

• We will not be held responsible for your dog escaping from the meadow. While the meadow is secured to our best abilities, you are responsible for your dog at all times.

• Do not enter the meadow before your booked session as there may be dogs running loose.

• Do not allow your dog to dig or damage any part of the facility. If unavoidable please make us aware as soon as possible.

  Responsibility

• In keeping with the law regarding 'responsible dog ownership', you are entirely responsible for yours and your dog(s)' safety whilst at Blackboys dog meadow.

• Blackboys dog meadow are not responsible and will not accept liability for any loss, damage, injury or death howsoever and by whomsoever caused, whether to property or person(s) sustained by any person at Blackboys dog meadow. 

• The customer is responsible for all safety aspects of Blackboys dog meadow prior to, during or subsequent to the hire period and must accept liability for any loss, damage or injury howsoever and by whomsoever caused, whether to property or person(s) sustained by any person(s) in Blackboys dog meadow. 

• We hold public liability insurance, Blackboys dog meadow will not be held responsible for any customer or dog during the hire of our meadow.

• All vehicles parked on the property are left entirely at their owners risk. We accept no responsibility for damage, accidents or otherwise, whilst they are on the premises.
